Creation Northeast Staff - Mt. Union, PA
Here is what the Volunteer Staff said at Creation 2011…
"Not only were my Supervisors amazing, but they created an environment in which serving others came first."
"I absolutely had a blast. I made friends and met so many wonderful people."
"I've been attending Creation for about 14 years – this was my third year volunteering. It has added a whole new wonderful dimension to Creation for me! I could never go back to not serving there!"
"It was an enjoyable time and great way to become more involved in the festivities."
"I enjoyed every bit of it. It was an amazing time serving and seeing all the different types of people that come to Creation Fest."
Whether you're by yourself, with a group of friends, or your whole youth group, volunteering gives you the opportunity to make new friends and have tons of fun, while being part of a life-changing experience.
The lowdown:
Staff Policy:
-Minimum of 14 years old. If you are under the age of 18, you are required to bring a PARENTAL CONSENT FORM. You also need to bring along photo proof of identification (school ID will work) or your parent/guardian with you.
-18 and over must provide photo proof of identification
-All must read and agree to our policy manual
Full Time:
Full Time Staff members work a minimum of five (5) four and half hour shifts during the festival. Full Time Staff members are required to arrive at the festival grounds Monday evening between 6:00pm and 10:00pm, and work through Saturday. If you are not able to arrive on Monday evening, or at least six hours before your shift on Tuesday, Full Time Staff may not be the best option for you. For this you will get:
-A discounted ($20) event ticket into the festival
*THIS IS NEW* We need almost 2,000 volunteers to make Creation run as smoothly as possible. People from many different denominations and walks of life come together to serve as part of Creation's small expression of the Body of Christ. It's truly AMAZING! Each year we are faced with a gap of approximately 25% in various areas due to cancellations or no-shows. We understand that emergencies come up, but please know that not only does the Creation Festival rely on you, so do those attending. We understand that it may take a little longer for some to commit to being a Full-Time Volunteer. Our hope is that you pray and consider this opportunity (and ask your parents if necessary) when choosing to serve at the Creation Festival.
- Camping
- Showers
- A cool staff t-shirt.
- Lots of love!
Half Time:
Half Time Staff members must work at least three 4½ hour shifts – one for each day you attend Creation. For example: you cannot arrive on Wednesday to watch concerts, and then plan on working Thursday through Saturday. You would need to work one 4½ shift on Wednesday. For this you will get:
- Half price ($55*) entrance into the festival (*plus service fee)
- Camping
- Showers
- A cool staff t-shirt.
- Lots of love!
More Time:
Of course, you can volunteer more than the minimum number of shifts, and many staffers do. Just come to the staff tent at the festival and we'll plug you in!
Friends and Family:
We make a special effort to place friends or family on the same shift when requested. However we can’t guarantee this will happen, as there are only a certain amount of positions in a given area. We will try our absolute best. Thank you in advance for your understanding if you are assigned to a different shift and/or area.
Staff Policy:
- Minimum of 14 years old (staff under 18 will be required to bring a parental consent form)
- Must provide proof of identification if over 17 when you arrive
- Must read and agree to our policy manual

Q: How old must I be in order to volunteer?
A: You need to be 14 by the time the festival starts.
Q: My sister is 12, can she hang out with us while we're serving?
A: For the safety of the volunteer, the young person, and our attendees, we do not allow persons under 14 to serve on staff. We also can't allow non-volunteers to 'hang out' with those who are working.
Q: What kind of identification is required at check-in?
A: You must provide a valid, government-issued if you are 18 or older. If you are 17 and under, a school ID or another ID with your photo on it will work, if your parent or guardian accompanies you to check-in.
Q: Do you provide food, sleeping accommodations and/or transportation for volunteers?
A: No, volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the festival, as well as their own food, tent and sleeping equipment. There are some food vendors on-site during the festival.
Q: What day must I arrive?
A: If you are a full-time volunteer you are required to enter the festival on Monday evening between 6 and 10 PM.
Q: I would like to serve with a friend. How do we indicate that?
A: On the confirmation step of the application, you will see a box in which you can type final comments. Put your request in that box. We work hard to try to make those requests happen!
Q: Can I just help with setup?
A: Setup is by invitation and is open only to people who are volunteering during the festival.
Q: I am leading a group of people. How do we all sign up as a group to volunteer?
A: We don't have a group sign-up option. Please have each person submit their own application.
